What I Do
Katrina, Founder, Certified EMDR Therapist
I created Well Thought Space over 15 years ago, and have been working relentlessly since to fine tune the spaces and services we offer. My specific area of specialty when working with clients involves deep healing from early attachment wounds, although I do see clients with more general issues related to anxiety and self worth. I am a Certified EMDR clinician and trauma therapist. I offer in-person and virtual sessions, as well as consultation for clinicians looking to enhance how they work with clients who have a complex trauma history.
Outside of work, I love to meander through specialty food markets and read leisurely; however I can most often be found in the most basic of spaces…chasing dogs and children and dreaming of a nap.

Bella, EMDR Therapist
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I received my master’s in mental health counseling from Northwestern University. I have worked in the mental health field for over 8 years. I work with children, adolescents, and adults as well as couples and families. I provide clients with a safe, compassionate, judgement-free space and create individualized treatment plans in order fit each person’s unique needs. I mainly work with individuals dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and difficulty with executive functioning skills.
I am an integrative therapist, and utilize modalities including somatic psychotherapy, EMDR and psychodynamic psychotherapy. As a yoga and meditation instructor, I am extremely passionate about working with individuals holistically through incorporating the mind, body, and spirit.
Outside of the office, I love to surf, spend time with friends and family, and go on long road trips!

What I Do
Rachel, EMDR Therapist
I work under the belief that all humans are entitled to and worthy of a safe space to be seen, heard, supported and honored. I am dedicated to being and creating that safe space for her clients because with it, individuals can more effectively access the capacity for deeper reflection, exploration and understanding of self.
With a strengths based approach, I help clients connect to the gifts, wisdom and tools that are innate to them and help them to refine and expand on those, so that they feel confidently equipped to navigate their life and relationships with as much grace and ease and joy as possible.
I look at clients through a holistic lens, considering the full person and the entirety of the tapestry of who they are, created by all of their experiences. With me, you can learn what has shaped you and more consciously choose how you will be shaped by all the experiences to come.
In addition to my clinical practice I also teach yoga and meditation and am a reiki master, so I love to blend mindfulness based techniques into my work with clients when appropriate.
In my free time, you can find me in nature - on a trail hiking or at the beach, on my yoga mat, or immersed in my community, spending time with people I love.

What I Do
Danny, EMDR Therapist
My practice is rooted in curiosity and respect for the simultaneous presence of pattern and individual difference at play in every life. I offer a relational space to build reflective capacities, slow down, and connect with what's happening under the surface. This integrative approach emphasizes creative potential and renewal—rallying forgotten, neglected, and dormant resources—while working through relational challenge, loss, and change. Together we explore your ways of making meaning, paying attention to dreams, to how stories and feelings live in the body, to our relationship, and to the parts of you who are conflicted, out of reach, or most often go unseen.
Our work welcomes complexity, ambiguity, and the symptomatic as pathways to insight and deeper authenticity. I thoughtfully integrate EMDR when desired, along with attachment theory, psychodynamic, and somatic modalities to address overwhelming, stuck, and missing experience. I'm attentive to how the past shapes your sense of self and world, and attune to your pace and capacity in the moment.
Meaningful therapy provides a ritual structure and ongoing relationship that cultivate deepened alignment, courage, creativity, and intentionality. Many people I work with seek increased authentic relatedness with themselves and the surrounding world—a sense of being more fully alive and present. I often work with individuals navigating the particular pressures of high-performance environments who want to cultivate sustainable ways of being amid intense professional demands. I’ve had extensive psychodynamic training, including supervision by practicing psychoanalysts, and passionately continue to participate in training focused on integrating Jungian and psychoanalytic orientations with somatic and ecological lenses.
Outside of work, I often hang with plants and animals and enjoy reading in quiet warm spaces.

What I Do
Hae, EMDR Therapist
I believe true healing begins when we allow ourselves to feel, confront our wounds, and be honest with ourselves. This process creates space for deeper connections- not only with ourselves but also with those around us.
I work with adolescents, adults and couples, helping clients understand themselves- recognize their blind spots, explore why they are the way they are, envision where they want to go & make conscious choices toward who they want to be.
I specialize in, though am not limited to, supporting individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, shame, and relationship challenges. I tend to have an active presences in the therapy room, helping clients build self-awareness, recognize patterns, and find relief in a safe, judgement-free space, while offering insightful guidance and actionable steps that extend beyond the therapy room.
I don’t rely on a single approach to address the full complexity of the human experience. Instead, I see clients through a holistic lens, drawing from a range of modalities including EMDR, psychodynamic, existential, mindfulness, and somatic practices. When appropriate, I integrate therapy with energy healing practices, drawing on over eight years of experience supporting clients through my holistic healing practice, STAY+VIBE.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me sneaking in my infamous 30-minute power naps, at a hot yoga class, or spending time at the beach, basically either very horizontal or very active!

Kim, EMDR Therapist
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and periods of emotional overwhelm. Many of the clients I support are high-functioning and capable, yet find themselves feeling disconnected from their partner, from themselves, or from the life they’re trying to hold together.
I have a strong focus on couples work and enjoy helping partners move out of stuck or reactive patterns and into deeper emotional connection. In my work with couples and new parents, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) , attachment-based work, EMDR, and cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients shift patterns, regulate emotions, and build more secure, connected relationships to help partners better understand one another’s emotional experiences and create more secure, responsive relationships.
In my individual work, I frequently support clients navigating major life transitions, identity shifts, and relational concerns. I have particular experience working with high-achieving individuals, parents, and those navigating the emotional and physical changes of peri- and post-menopause. I also incorporate EMDR and attachment-based approaches to help clients process past experiences that continue to influence present-day relationships and self-worth.
I offer in-person therapy in Santa Monica as well as telehealth services for clients throughout California.
